On March 26, 2021, Sunstate Bank will be converting to a new and enhanced banking system. This new banking system will enable us to continue to offer you state of the art banking. Although the conversion is handled behind the scenes, we want to keep our customers abreast of enhancements we are rolling out. We also want you to know which systems may not be available during conversion weekend (March 27 and March 28, 2021).

What can I expect? On March 26, 2021, we will be moving from the current system to a new system based on newer technology that will allow us to deliver our products and services more efficiently and effectively for years to come. Will my account number change? Your account number will not change. There will be no interruptions to your direct deposits or automatic payments after the conversion.

I have a loan with Sunstate Bank, what changes can I expect? You should continue to make payments in accordance with the terms and conditions of your loan agreement. If you have any questions, please continue to call your Lender and/or Account Relationship officer. If you have a HELOC with the bank, you will receive your monthly statement at the end of the month.

Will my account terms and conditions change? The terms and conditions applicable to your account will not change.

If you have a Commercial Checking account, the monthly maintenance charge is analyzed and charged to your account on the last day of the month. Effective April 1, 2021, the monthly maintenance charge will be charged to your account in the subsequent month. For example, the monthly maintenance charge for April 2021 will be charged in May 2021. March monthly maintenance charge will be charged to your account on March 26, 2021.

Will the statement closing date for my account change? As of the close of business March 26, 2021, you will receive a statement for your checking and savings(s) accounts. Monthly maintenance charges, if applicable to your account product, will be assessed and charged on March 26, 2021. After conversion, you will continue to receive monthly statements for checking accounts as of the last business day of the month and quarterly statements for savings accounts as of the end of each quarter (March, June, September, and December). As a result of the conversion, you will receive a second monthly statement as of March 31, 2021. This statement is for the period of March 29, 2021 to March 31, 2021 and will not have any monthly maintenance charges to your account.

Will I continue to receive electronic statements? If you are enrolled for eStatements, you will continue to receive electronic statements which you can access through the online banking system. If you are not enrolled, why not enroll today by accessing our online banking system and changing your statement preference to electronic statements. eStatements are free and safe. Most importantly, you do not need to wait for the mail to be delivered to receive your banking statements.

Can I continue to use my current debit card? You may continue to use your debit card with no interruptions. Withdrawals at any Sunstate Bank ATM, Presto Network (Publix ATM), or NYCE member ATMs are free of charge. Additionally, you may use the Sunstate Bank debit card worldwide for point of sale purchases as well as withdraw funds from any ATM bearing the Cirrus, Maestro, Plus, NYSE, or Presto network logo. Fees may apply when using other banks’ ATMs. Refer to our Deposit Product Fee Schedule for details.

How will my digital products be affected (Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile)? Digital Products (Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile) will be offline from March 26, 2021 at 5:30 PM until Monday March 29, 2021 at 8:00 AM. If you have a transfer scheduled for Saturday March 27, 2021, this transfer may be delayed up to 24 hours. It is recommended that you make the transfer prior to Online Banking going down on March 26, 2021 at 5:30 PM. You may also experience a delay in system alerts if you are enrolled in balance and transfer alerts. When the digital products become available the system will prompt you to receive a phone call or text message to validate your identity through our out of band technology. When signing in to Online Banking or Mobile after conversion, please expect to enter a security code which will be provided to you by either a text or voice message to the telephone number you have registered with the bank. This is the same process that you follow when you attempt to access Online Banking or Mobile from a new device.

How can I access my account during conversion weekend? You may continue to use your debit card with no interruptions. The Falls Branch located at 14095 S Dixie Highway, Miami, FL 33176 (Tel: 305-256-0900) will be open for drive in services on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.
